DESCRIPTION:The City of Round Rock’s Parks and Recreation Department presents the 13th annual Family Campout on Friday\, Sept. 12th through Saturday\, Sept. 13th at Old Settlers Park. \nCome spend the night in Old Settlers Park! You’ll pop your tent in the park\, eat dinner\, have fun\, play games\, sit around the campfire eating s’mores\, watch a movie in the park\, and then off to sleep under the stars. Wake up with the sunrise and enjoy breakfast. \n\nCLICK HERE to Register! \nEarly Registration fee is $10 per camper.\nRegistration for the campout is required. Registration fee will increase to $15 on September 1. \nRegistration for the campout is required. Each registered participant will receive two meals (dinner on Friday evening and pancake and sausage breakfast on Saturday morning\, vegetarian option available upon early request)\, s’mores and a t-shirt. \n\nWhat to Bring:\nParticipants are responsible providing all of their own camping equipment\, as well as setup and take down of tents. \nWe recommend bringing: \n\nTent (participants are responsible for setup & take down of tents)\nSleeping bags\nFlashlight\nReusable water bottle (water coolers will be available to fill bottles)\nInsect repellent\nSnacks and drinks (No alcohol or glass containers)\nA chair or blanket for campfire and movie\n\nNo pets allowed. After setting up your tent\, enjoy dinner\, games\, and plenty of fun. Later\, gather around the campfire for s’mores before watching a movie under the open sky. Finally\, drift off to sleep beneath the stars and wake with the sunrise to enjoy breakfast together. \nTo participate\, advance registration is required. In return\, each registered participant will receive two meals\, including Friday dinner and a Saturday pancake and sausage breakfast. Additionally\, vegetarian options are available with early request. Each camper will also receive s’mores and a commemorative t-shirt. \nRegistration Opening Soon…\n\nWhat to Bring to the Family Campout\nTo ensure a fun and comfortable Family Campout at Old Settlers Park\, participants must provide their own camping equipment. In addition\, all attendees are responsible for setting up and taking down their tents. \nFor a smooth overnight camping experience\, we recommend bringing the following items: \n\n\nA tent (participants are responsible for setup and take down) \n\n\nSleeping bags for overnight comfort \n\n\nA flashlight for nighttime visibility \n\n\nA reusable water bottle (water coolers will be available for refills) \n\n\nInsect repellent for outdoor comfort \n\n\nSnacks and drinks (no alcohol or glass containers permitted) \n\n\nA chair or blanket for the campfire and outdoor movie \n\n\nPlease note that pets are not allowed at the event. Additionally\, electricity and shower facilities will not be available. For safety reasons\, personal campfires are prohibited. \n\nSponsorship Opportunities\nDetails about Family Campout sponsorship opportunities will be available soon. In cases where the event site becomes unsafe or unsuitable\, changes may be necessary. \nIf the event is cancelled\, a program credit may be issued to registered participants at the discretion of the Parks and Recreation Director.
