The sport of the future has arrived, and it’s called disc golf! The Texas Women’s Championship is a Professional Disc Golf Association (P.D.G.A.)-sanctioned tournament hosted in Round Rock, Texas, April 18 and 19.

“This is the 11th Annual, and we have hosted it in Round Rock 10 of those 11 years,” says Ed Coffey, the tournament director. “The courses in the area are suited well for all skill levels.”

TWC was established in 2005 to encourage women’s participation in an affordable and healthy recreation and has a proud history of growing the ranks of female disc golf players, setting attendance records annually. TWC is attended by top female disc golf players, including past and current World Champions, area competitors and many new area players.

Any female is eligible to participate, but to compete in the pro division, you must be a current PDGA member. Each player will compete in three rounds of 18 holes, and those lucky enough to be in the top half of their division will be in the finals.
