Dive Into Summer at Kalahari Resort
Nothing screams summer like a waterpark, and there aren’t many waterparks as all-inclusive as Kalahari Resort. As the name suggests, this isn’t just a park where you can find tunneled water slides, lazy rivers, and basketball pools—though you most certainly can, and in abundance. You can also spend the night in one of its luxurious suites, enjoy world-class dining at one of its restaurants, and even relax at a 21+ swim-up bar like Kalahari’s unique indoor grotto.

Slide Into Home at Dell Diamond
Not too many cities can claim to have their own Minor League Baseball team. Since Minor League teams are based in smaller cities, there’s a tighter sense of community around the team. You can experience that for yourself by watching the Round Rock Express, Triple-A affiliate to the Texas Rangers, at their very own stadium, Dell Diamond. But baseball isn’t the only reason to visit. In the aptly titled Fun Zone, kids can enjoy inflatables, a 26-foot rock wall, a train-themed playground, and more!

Take a Stroll in Downtown Round Rock
If you’re looking for Round Rock’s downtown area, just look to the sky for the iconic water tower. In this cultural center, you’ll find quaint shops and crafted local dining. At Prete Plaza, the kids can beat the heat by hitting the splash pad, then the whole family can take in a free concert on Wednesday nights. Come July, Round Rock’s patriotic spirit will be on full display with its annual 4th of July parade.

Old Settlers Park: Fishing, Disc Golf, and So Much More
Though Round Rock has many parks, Old Settlers Park stands alone with its 645 acres of d\isc golf, cricket, softball, tennis, football fields, and much more. For the fishing fans, the park is home to Bright Lake, which carries bass, catfish, and perch. It’s no wonder Round Rock is known as the Sports Capital of Texas. But wait, there’s more! Remote-controlled airplane enthusiasts will be pleased to know the park has its very own take-off and landing strip.

Meet the Original “Round Rock”
Believe it or not, Round Rock isn’t just a pretty name. Way back in 1851, the first rumblings of a city began to emerge on the banks of Brushy Creek. This round rock was so pivotal to Native Americans and settlers that it was forever immortalized as the name of the town. These days, you can visit the original Round Rock and its nearby historical marker to pay homage to the city’s unique history.
