Already home to a robust Indian community, Round Rock will soon be adding one of Austin’s most well liked Indian restaurants. Swad, a vegetarian Indian restaurant in North Austin owned by Manhar and Nikula Patel, announced on Facebook that it will open a location at 1401 S. I-35 Suite 220 in Round Rock. An employee says the restaurant hopes to open in January. Swad is known for its chaat, dahi puri, samosas, pani puri and other vegetarian Indian dishes.
