Round Rock Super Series

What started in 2006 as a fundraiser for a youth baseball organization has grown into a super series of baseball games – coming to Round Rock this month and the next!

“Round Rock is in Central Texas, which makes it easy for all Texans to drive to it affordably,” says Tournament Director Rick Stevens. “Plus, it has lots of outside entertainment for all to enjoy while they are visiting.”

Blue Diamond Tournaments host ages 7-16 at its events, with athletes travelling from all across Texas, surrounding states and even Mexico to participate in exciting baseball games leading up to a World Series Championship in July.

“During the season, we’re hosting games every weekend, at locations such as Taylor Regional Park and Sports Complex, San Antonio’s Diamond Spikes Complex and Round Rock’s Old Settlers Park,” explains Stevens. “Our week-long World Series event is big because the winners get to claim they are the champions; it’s exciting to see these talented, young athletes celebrating success!”

While Blue Diamond wants all participants to have fun while learning basic skills and overall respect, the tournament series brings much more to the table. Every year, a special game is held to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.

“Our Shriners Classic is a time for the players to meet with the hospital volunteers and hear stories on all the children they have helped. We even let past patients come out and participate in a game they once thought they’d never get to play,” Stevens says.

The Spring Fling Baseball Tournament will be held Friday, March 27, through Sunday, March 29, while the Shriners Hospitals for Children Classic will take place April 17 through 19. Find more info athttp://bluediamondtournaments.com/.
