A two-woman take on a Texas-sized holiday disaster.

Penfold Theatre brings the holiday hilarity with A Tuna Christmas, the beloved comedy set in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas—population 201. Traditionally performed by two men playing 22 characters, this production flips the script: two women (cast to be announced) will bring the entire town to life in a fresh and spirited revival.

It’s Christmas Eve in Tuna, and the yuletide chaos is in full swing. The annual Christmas Yard Display Contest is under threat from the mysterious “Christmas Phantom.” The local production of A Christmas Carol teeters on the edge of cancellation due to an unpaid light bill. And over at the Tastee Kreme, the holiday shift means no time off—and no mercy.

This satirical comedy roasts the quirks of small-town life and skewers the holiday season with equal parts affection and absurdity. From problematic relatives to questionable traditions, A Tuna Christmas is the perfect comedy for anyone who’s ever survived (or barely survived) a Texas holiday.
