Join us as we honor and celebrate the service of our nation’s heroes at the Annual Veterans Day Celebration on Tuesday, November 11 at 11:00 AM, held at the scenic Flag Plaza at Yonders Point in Old Settlers Park.
This year’s event features a meaningful ceremony with guest speaker Alain Babin and a representative from Army Futures Command, along with a special presentation recognizing local veterans for their service and sacrifice.
🎶 Following the ceremony, stay to enjoy live music by North of Luck and a free lunch—all in appreciation of those who have served.

Guest Speaker: Alain Babin
Alain pronounced “Alan,” was born in France. He married his high school sweetheart, Rosie in Del Rio, Texas. While there, they both enlisted in the U.S. Army as a husband-and-wife team. Together, they have two children, Alan a wounded combat veteran and Christy, a businessperson with Underwriters Laboratory.
After his enlistment in the Army, Alain pursued a career in law enforcement, spanning thirty-four years. He served with three different departments in California and Texas. His final twenty-five years were dedicated to the Round Rock Police Department, where he climbed the ranks and retired as an Assistant Chief of Police in 2019.
Throughout his career, Alain has been actively involved in various volunteer organizations. He has supported veterans’ organizations, the Police Special Olympics, and Stephanie Myers car shows, all of which raise funds for local charities. Currently, he serves as a Director with the Lakeway Police Foundation and the Lakeway Civic Corporation.
Alain also holds a Master of Science degree from Sam Houston State University and is a graduate of the National FBI Academy.
