Have a Ball in Round Rock This Memorial Day Weekend!

Kids at Rock'N River Water Park in Round Rock Texas

Summer is here! Kick off the season with these fantastic Memorial Weekend activities in Round Rock. Fun for the whole family including baseball, theater, a tea party and more!

Start the weekend right with a Round Rock Express game at Dell Diamond Friday night. The good times start at 7:05 p.m. as the Express (known as the Chupacabras at Friday night’s game) take on I-35 rivals, the San Antonio Missions. The game will be followed by a fireworks show you won’t want to miss!

Saturday morning at 9 a.m., kids can learn to play ultimate for free during the USA Ultimate D-1 College Championships at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex. The clinic is for boys and girls ages 18 and under, and a disc for play will be provided. After the clinic stay for the College Championships, taking place through Monday.

When Ultimate works up an appetite, check out Farmer George Farmers Market at University Oaks. This weekly market features Central Texas vendors with a wide variety of goods and treats the whole family will enjoy. Did we mention it’s right by IKEA? Everyone needs a little papaja with their produce from Farmer George’s!

Just north of IKEA, bring your team to Bass Pro Shops for their Go Outdoors event. Saturday from noon until 5 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m., kids can participate in free fun like a Catch-and-Release Pond, craft-making, a Camping Fun Workshop and free funnel cakes from 1-3 p.m. While you’re there, get in the lanes at Uncle Buck’s FishBowl & Grill to knock down some pins and enjoy a tasty snack!

Get ready to make a splash because Rock’N River, Round Rock’s premier water park, opens for the season on May 24. Sit back on the lazy river, take a spin on the crazy slides and test your skills on the climbing wall. Every member of the family will find something to love about Rock’N River – Who doesn’t like staying cool during the Texas summer?
