Baseball America recently ranked Round Rock’s Dell Diamond as No. 4 on a list of the top Minor League Baseball parks in the U.S. Another home run in the Sports Capital of Texas! Rankings were compiled by surveying baseball broadcasters and scouts, asking which baseball park they would be most likely to return to from the perspective of a fan. Many surveyed noted Dell Diamond’s Fireball Grill, serving up burgers made with beef raised on owner Nolan Ryan’s farm, as well as the park’s spa party area and rocking chairs.
Home of the Round Rock Express, Dell Diamond also hosts non-game day events like concerts, charity fundraisers and other sporting events. A new state-of-the-art LED concourse and exterior light system, freshly paved parking surfaces and a brand new center field hospitality area were recently installed. Following the 2017 season, the field was used as a set location for AMC’s Walking Dead spin-off, Fear the Walking Dead, but don’t worry, the premises have been cleared of all post-apocalyptic zombies!
