The District takes Round Rock’s retail game to a whole new level

Artist rendering of The District in Round Rock.

In the Sports Capital of Texas, we like to think of shopping and dining as sports of their own, and our game is about to get stronger! Start training now to stroll, shop and dine like a pro at The District, a 1 million square foot mixed-use development located just east of the Round Rock Crossing shopping center, close to the intersection of Interstate 35 and State Highway 45.

The master-planned development is being led by Mark IV Capital, and they expect to kick off construction within the next year. “Our intent is to provide a mixture of high quality office, residential, hospitality, and retail uses to create a dense, mixed-use environment, a first for the City of Round Rock,” said Paul Cate, Mark IV’s Chief Executive Officer. “The District is the natural location for the region’s next major business hub.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Mark IV on the development of The District in Round Rock,” Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan said. “This is exactly the type of project we need in this high-growth area.”

In the meantime, we’ll be over here practicing our competitive shopping skills at the Round Rock Premium Outlets, Bass Pro Shops, and IKEA, so we’re ready when The District opens for play!
