Professional soccer fans will be delighted to hear that Tigres UANL of Mexico will be returning to the Sports Capital of Texas to take on Pachuca, a rival Mexican team, at the Dell Diamond on Sunday, July 8 at 5:00 p.m.

ROUND ROCK, Texas – For the fourth year in a row, international soccer is coming to the Sports Capital of Texas! Liga MX foes Tigres and Pachuca will meet in a friendly at Dell Diamond on Sunday, July 8 at 5:00 p.m. as part of the Tigres Summer Tour, presented by SPD Sports in conjunction with Ryan Sanders Sports & Entertainment.

Tigres placed fifth in the 18-team league a year ago while Pachuca checked in at ninth. Tigres has been one of the most successful clubs in Mexico in recent years, capturing the Torneo Apertura three straight years from 2015- 2017. The club has also reached the finals of the Copa Libertadores and the CONCACAF Champions League in the last two seasons.

One of the oldest clubs in Mexico, Pachuca has found unparalleled success since their promotion back to the top division in 1998, winning six national championships, four CONCACAF Champions’ Cups, the 2007 SuperLiga and one Copa Sudamericana.

This July’s match marks the fourth year in a row that Dell Diamond has hosted a Liga MX friendly as Santos Laguna and Toluca faced off last summer after a Leon vs. Morelia match in 2016. The first-ever soccer match at Dell Diamond featured Chivas and Pachuca in 2015.

Tickets start at $35 and will be on sale beginning Monday, May 28. Kids 10 and under can receive a $15 general admission ticket with a paying adult. Fans can purchase tickets in person at the Dell Diamond ticket office, online at RoundRockExpress.com or by calling 512-255-2255.
