Welcome to the Sports Capital of Texas, where sports are a big deal, and our sports facilities are world-class! In Round Rock, we take pride in having premium facilities for tournament directors, athletes, and spectators from around the world. One of our top facilities is the Round Rock Sports Center. From the floors to the lighting, every detail is carefully curated to deliver the ultimate sporting experience. Here’s an in-depth look at this state-of-the-art facility.
The Round Rock Sports Center is conveniently located just 15 miles from Austin, right off I-35. It’s in a prime location close to many hotels, restaurants, and shopping. This premiere facility has 82,800 square-feet of space and 47,775 square-feet of playable area. Several court configurations are available, including 6 high school-sized basketball courts, 12 high school-sized volleyball courts, and 3 NCAA-sized basketball courts. This space is customizable and can be utilized for a variety of events and tournaments. In the past, we have hosted basketball, volleyball, wrestling, and table tennis tournaments, cake expos, corporate events, weddings, and more. The possibilities are endless!
As soon as you drive onto the property, you’ll notice our Texas-sized parking lot, with over 650 parking spaces. At the front of the building, you’ll see our roundabout perfect for parent pick up and drop off. At the entrance is a ticket booth that groups can utilize for ticket sales and distribution.
When you walk into the Sports Center, you’ll notice the bright lights illuminating the facility and courts. Above each court are 36 Led lights that can be lit at different percentages, making a total of 216 lights to keep the courts bright. All of the lights are LED and can be turned on and off instantaneously, different from the older halogen light models. We know lighting is crucial for a good game, so we have top-of-the-line lighting!

If you’re an athlete competing at our facility, you’ll be happy to know the Sports Center has 47,775 square feet of playable space! The playable space is covered with Bio-Cushion Classic maple flooring from Robins Sports Surfaces. The bio-cushion system is engineered for enhanced comfort and impact absorption for athletes of all levels. The maple wood is durable and long-lasting. Our floors are maintained daily and refinished annually with an oil-based finish to keep the floors looking brand new!

If you’re a spectator cheering on your team, watch the game from the best seat in the house! We have plenty of seating options. For basketball and volleyball tournaments, the seating is exclusively upstairs in our elevated stadium seating stands. Each seating section gives us a total of 61 seats with backs and most importantly, cup holders! In total, the Sports Center has 732 stadium seats upstairs with prime views of the court action!
Downstairs we have pull-out bleachers built into the walls for easy access. These bleachers are used more for non-traditional sports that do not use the volleyball or basketball standards and special events. Each bleacher will seat up to 72 spectators giving us a grand total of 576 total seats available downstairs. Additionally, each team gets premium black chairs that are rowed out onto a black carpet. This allows each player to have their own backed chair with prime views of the court.
The Round Rock Sports Center is a high-tech facility! We have top-of-the-line technology to enhance the game experience. We have ceiling-mounted basketball hoops, volleyball standards, and divider curtains by porter athletic. We also have an HD video wall, twelve 60” LCD scoreboards, Wi-Fi throughout the building, and an Eternal Sound System.
Throughout our building, we have various rooms and meeting spaces that user groups can utilize. We have a tournament room, a players’ lounge, a referee’s lounge with lockers and a shower, and an athletic training room. We also have three large multi-purpose rooms that can be subdivided into nine smaller rooms. We strive to accommodate all the needs of our guests to ensure their time at the Round Rock Sports Center is exceptional!
If you’re looking for a game-day meal or a quick bite, stop by the All-Star Café! We have delicious food to fuel athletes and delight spectators. Our menu goes beyond the traditional concession options! We offer unique dishes like a Texas BBQ platter, premium chicken tenders, nachos with pulled pork and fresh pico de gallo, and more! We also have healthy options like smoothies made with almond milk. Our staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to deliver a superb dining experience!
Outside we have a spacious outdoor pavilion with multi-sport turf, playground, concession area, and restrooms. This open-air facility is equipped with sports equipment for athletes to utilize in practice. The pavilion is also the perfect space for birthday parties and special events! Outside we also have a playscape with an outdoor grassy tailgating area with seating. This area is the ideal spot to relax in between games and gather with teammates.
