You know what is great about being outside in Round Rock? It’s free! We have over 2,270 acres of parks and 20 miles of free terrain for visitors to explore. Old Settlers Park is one of the best ways to enjoy Round Rock’s outdoors. The 640-acre park has seven playgrounds, Yonders Point, and 40 picnic areas with barbeque grills. Round Rock also offers several specialty parks, including the Dog Depot Dog Park, and the Play for All Abilities Park

Another fantastic free highlight about Round Rock is that we have many complimentary events for locals and visitors! One of our most popular events is Music on Main, a weekly concert on Main Street! We also have a free Round Rock Car Show that happens every 3rd Sunday of the month from 10 AM to 1 PM. Additionally, we have a reoccurring Family Fun Night at Yonders Point that is a big hit!

Buy fresh budget-friendly produce at our outdoor Farmer’s Market! This market offers the cream of the crop, and it is open every Saturday year-round from 10 am -2 pm, rain or shine! We also have Round Rock Market Days held in the Prete Plaza once a month.

Discounted Movie

Time to see the latest (discounted) flick! Our local theaters have special prices for various days. So if you’re in town on their deal days, make sure to catch a movie during your stay. Flix Brewhouse has a Wednesday discount of $5.25. Cinemark has a discounted rate of $6 every Tuesday.

Stroll through Ikea and Bass Pro Shops

Despite any preconceived notions, window shopping can be a lot of fun! Especially at locations like Bass Pro Shops and Ikea. These stores are destinations with so many things to see! If you haven’t been to IKEA before, it is an experience; they have showrooms that you can walk through and envision your future home. They also have a restaurant with Swedish specialties. Bass Pro Shops also offers a comprehensive experience. With floor-to-ceiling outdoor gear displays, an aquarium, a bowling alley, and an onsite restaurant.

You’re in luck! The famous Round Rock doesn’t charge to have its photo taken. Take a photo of this limestone icon in the middle of Brushy Creek. This circular bolder was used as a landmark guide for early settlers crossing Brushy Creek along the Chisolm Trail. Check out THE rock
