We had to start our sandwich blog with the ever-popular Hoody’s Subs! This local sandwich shop has been a Round Rock classic since 1989. It has raving Google and Yelp reviews and superb subs. They have hot and cold subs filled with premium Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, and fresh vegetables. Their menu is a sandwich-lovers dream. They have a Chicken Cheesesteak, Italian Sausage, Veggie Grill, Pastrami, Capicola, Cajun Turkey Sandwich, and more. We recommend trying their melt-in-your-mouth Philly Cheesesteak!
High Country Market and Gastropub
You don’t have to search high and low for a good sandwich in Round Rock because High Country Market whips up sandwich sensations. They have a South West Turkey sandwich, Patty Melt, Reuben, and a BLT on the menu. Pair your sandwich with a local beer or wine from their bar or a side dish from their market!

Give us a patio and a pesto sandwich, and we’re set! Cork and Barrel has a spacious outdoor patio and specialty sandwiches to enjoy on a sunny Texas day. Along with their grilled pesto chicken sandwich, they have a classic Ruben sandwich with pastrami, Swiss cheese, comeback sauce, and spicy pickled cabbage paired with house-made chips!

We feel like we can taste the melted cheese through this photo! Wiseguys Chicago eatery melts their cheese to perfection in their Chicago Cheesesteak and sandwich creations. They bring the tastes of Chicago to Round Rock with their Italian Beef Sandwich, Polish Sausage sandwiches, and Meatball sandwiches. It would be wise to order a sandwich from here during your stay!
Liberty Barbecue
When in Texas, you add bbq meat to your grilled cheese! This indulgent creation is a loaded grilled cheese with brisket and melted smoked Provolone and Monterey Jack cheese on Texas toast. This specialty sandwich is a must-try, and you can customize it any way you want with your choice of meat. Mama Mia, we have a meatball masterpiece in Round Rock! Slapbox Pizzaria has outdone themselves by adding sandwiches to their already robust menu. They have their scrumptious meatball sub with house-made Italian meatballs smothered in La Monica Marinara and topped off with mozzarella and hot Italian peppers. Additionally, they have a sub called the 600 Grinder that is filled with hot capicola, salami, and smoked ham and paired with fresh veggies and sauces to complement.
