Salt Lick
The Salt Lick BBQ is a heavy hitter in the Texas barbeque world, and for good reason – since 1967 they’ve been serving up quality slow-cooked meats that are smoked and finished over an open fire. The Round Rock location is conveniently located next to Dell Diamond, home of the Round Rock Express, the Houston Astros’ AAA affiliate. So stop by before a game (or anytime) and grab a plate for yourself, or dine family-style at this local hot spot.

PoK-e-Jo’s Smokehouse
This classic Texas barbecue joint features an all-star menu of your BBQ favorites, including Spicy Texas Pulled Pork, Chopped Beef, and even Whole Chickens. Make sure to order their savory-sweet Jalapeno Cornbread Casserole, and if you’re dropping in for a quick lunch, give the Super Spud a try – it’s a giant baked potato loaded with a quarter pound of meat plus all the fixins. Round Rock is also home to the PoK-e-Jo’s World Catering Headquarters, so pencil them in on the short list for your next event!

Smokey Mo’s
A Central Texas favorite, you’ll feel right at home at Smokey Mo’s. They serve up traditional smoked BBQ fare with a few surprises like wraps, hamburgers, and even salads! Smokey Mo’s also features a smoked pork loin, and everything comes at a great price. They’re one of the few BBQ spots where you can also enjoy another Texas mainstay – breakfast tacos!

Rudy’s
Rudy’s is a BBQ institution born right here in Central Texas, and we’re lucky enough to have a gas station and car wash at Rudy’s in Round Rock! So whether you’re just passing through or here for an extended stay, drop by and hop in line for a truly Texas experience. We recommend trying both the Original and Sissy Bar-B-Q “Sauses” and taking a bottle home to share with family and friends.

Southside Market & Barbeque at Dell Diamond
Known best for their sausages and being the “oldest BBQ joint in Texas,” Southside Market & Barbeque has been delighting customers since 1882. During the Round Rock Express baseball season, spectators can treat themselves to the fantastic fare from Southside Market at Dell Diamond. Take yourself out to the ballgame and to flavortown with their famous Sausage Slammers (cheddar cheese and jalapeno encased in sausage and wrapped with bacon) or brisket nachos – an all-time fan favorite!
